"NINJA PROPHECY OF DEATH"
This summer I was approached to handle the makeup FX work on the new action film from Killer Wolf Films. I spent two days in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania; roughly two weeks total on set. Met lots of great people and had an great time overall.
I had designed a poster for the film prior to this one. But it wasn't nearly as eye catching as this one. Normally, I don't like to toot my own horn about my work. However, I think is one of my strongest poster designs yet.
Hopefully, this will be the face of this movie. Once it leaves my e-mail however, it's out of my hands. *Fingeres crossed*

Zombie Carnival Poster.
I got a phone call around 8:30 one night from Marty asking me if I would do the poster for a bar crawl happening in October. There will be four bars participating in it and all of the proceeds benefit MECA.
I only had one night to accomplish it. I started work at 9pm and ended around 3:30am. I think this is one of my best designs as of late.
So, if you are a bar hopper and you have a few friends who are the same; this might be something you would want to look into.

Eerie Horror Film Festival 2010
It's getting to be that time of year again for the Eerie Horror Film Festival. I really enjoy this show and I attend every year. It's the perfect place to make contacts and meet people who have the same interests in the horror film genre.
I hope to be giving another seminar this year as well as having a table to sell my goodies. If so you won't want to miss it. The fest also has some great guests coming this year that I am really looking forward to meeting for the first time.
Here is the link to their main page. Go check it out if you haven't yet.

Frankenstein Wall Mount
When Eric and I started some of our artwork for the Crooked I the owner Marty found an old beaten up Frankenstein half face. Originally Marty just wanted it painted, but it didn't have much detail to paint so I persuaded him and Eric to let me re-sculpt the face and we would all just share in the molding costs and such.
Here he is. The smoke in his mouth was Marty's idea.

"Getting weird with it..."
I've been tinkering around with the "Rat Fink" style I used to do in high school. I have a couple more images I have been working on. As of now, these are the two best of the finished pieces. Neither of them have titles yet.
I'm still thinking about this book idea. I'd love to publish a book of prints and mini comics, short stories; whatever I can cram into 80-100 pages. Maybe even some 3-d images...we'll see.
I'll keep posting stuff as I complete it.
New sculpts on the way soon...
KEEP CHECKING BACK

New Print!
I wanted to try and mix photos with drawings and photoshop the two into one image. It just sort of ended up looking like a comic strip.
It only took a couple hours once I could decide on the types of images I wanted to show. I am wondering how far I can take this...maybe build an entire mixed media comic book story from this one image.

The Crooked I Grand Opening.
My good friend and tattoo artist Eerie Eric has been telling me about a new rock club/bar opening in Erie on Feb 27th called "The Crooked I". He told me he wanted me to help out with some of the artwork that it may need in the next couple of months, maybe longer.
I talked with the owner Marty yesterday and he asked me to do the poster for it's grand opening show.
Couple hours later...
Here is the finalized poster for the event. I hope to see some of my Erie friends there, it's going to be a fun show.

Patches
I have been on a zombie kick lately, I blame a couple of things for this. Left4dead 1 and 2 and most recently Zombieland being released on DVD. All of this sparked the idea to sculpt my own model kit to sell on www.monstermarkweb.com
A few weeks later we have this corpse I'm calling patches. Still wrapped in his body bag, he emerges with a hunger for flesh. He has to work extra hard though considering that fact...he has no arms. He was sculpted in a few hours and then molded out of silicone.
I will be selling the unpainted ones for $50.00 and painted ones for $100.00. They are made of a urethane plastic which is mixed in two parts and then just poured into the mold. Minutes later you have a strong plastic version of the sculpt that does not need to be primed to paint.
This may not be his final paint job. This was my first idea, but now that I am seeing photos, I might like to see greenish skin tones a little more. We'll see when I paint another and put them side to side.
Enjoy everyone.

ERIK LIVES!!!
I started this sculpture at Celebrate Erie this summer. I was also working on it at one of the Eerie Horror Fest Mall appearances. While he did not take an extremely long time to sculpt, it took me till just yesterday to sit down and finish the paint job.
Here is one of the first photos of my sculpt taken by my friend Renee. This is before I finished building up the ears. The plastic eye forms make him look funny.
The other, is a completed version of the new member to the Monster Mark family..."Erik" It took me around three total hours to paint and air brush him. I am extremely happy with the end result. I hope everyone likes him as much as I do.
